Minnetonka Drone Tracker ("the App") is operated by CJC Digital LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the App.

1. Information We Collect

Information You Provide

• Account Information: When you sign in with Apple, we receive your Apple ID identifier and, if you choose to share it, your email address. We do not receive your Apple ID password.
• Saved Locations (Alert Zones): If you create alert zones, we store the geographic coordinates and label you provide (e.g., "My Home"). These are stored securely on our servers to enable proximity-based notifications.
• Notification Preferences: Your alert settings and notification preferences.

Information Collected Automatically

• Device Token: If you enable push notifications, Apple provides a device token that allows us to send notifications to your device. This token does not identify you personally.
• General Location: If you grant location permission, we use your approximate location solely to center the map on your area. We do not track, log, or store your location history.
• Purchase Information: If you subscribe, Apple processes all payments. We receive a transaction record to verify your subscription status but do not have access to your payment details.

Information We Do NOT Collect

• We do not collect precise real-time location tracking data
• We do not collect contacts, photos, or other personal files
• We do not use advertising identifiers (IDFA)
• We do not use third-party analytics or advertising SDKs
• We do not sell, rent, or share personal information with third parties

2. How We Use Your Information

• Alert Zones: Your saved locations are used exclusively to determine whether drone flight paths intersect with your alert zones, triggering push notifications.
• Push Notifications: Device tokens are used solely to deliver drone activity alerts you have opted into.
• Account Management: Your Apple ID identifier is used to associate your alert zones, preferences, and subscription with your account.
• Subscription Verification: Transaction records are used to verify your subscription tier and enable premium features.

3. Flight Data

All drone flight data displayed in the App is sourced from publicly available government records published by the City of Minnetonka through their public data transparency portal. This data is public record and is not collected from users. The App does not display personal information about drone operators, law enforcement officers, or individuals involved in incidents.

4. Data Storage and Security

• Account data, alert zones, and preferences are stored on Supabase (hosted on Amazon Web Services in the United States).
• All data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections.
• Database access is restricted with Row Level Security — users can only access their own data.
• We retain your data only as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise share your personal information with any third party. The only exceptions are:

• Apple: Sign in with Apple authentication and App Store subscription processing are handled by Apple.
• Infrastructure Providers: Our hosting provider (Supabase/AWS) processes data on our behalf under strict data processing agreements.
• Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or legal process.

6. Your Rights and Choices

• Delete Your Account: You can delete your account and all associated data by contacting us at the email below. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.
• Delete Alert Zones: You can delete individual alert zones at any time within the App.
• Disable Notifications: You can disable push notifications in your device's Settings at any time.
• Revoke Location Access: You can revoke location permission in your device's Settings. The App will continue to function without location access.
• Data Export: You can request a copy of your data by contacting us.

7. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected information from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the updated policy in the App and updating the "Last updated" date above.
